We created this website because
we have
a passion for preserving one of the most wonderful and critically
valuable eco systems on Earth.
The Amazon
Rainforest is unique for many reasons, the proliferation of
plant life is one of the most amazing natural wonders on our planet.
There
are hundreds of thousands of plants in the Amazon Rainforest, we humans
are only familiar with a fraction of these plant species.
Know as the natural medicine pharmacy for the world, there are
amazingly effective medicinal plants in the rainforest that can address
most of the modern ailments of mankind.
Pharmaceutical companies are also utilizing the these medicinal plants
by synthesizing the key compounds and creating many of the drugs used
in modern conventional medicine.
The natural

and medicinal value of much of the Amazon
Rainforestplant life hasbeen understood and used for thousands of
years by the
indigenous people in the Amazon.
It is clear that for long term sustainability of the rainforest and the

The Amazon Center for Environmental
Education and Research (ACEER) Foundation brings teachers and
environmental education programs to children
in Rainforest villages.
ACEER creates, develops and implements environmental
education programs in Indigenous communities of the
Peruvian Amazon. These programs develop environmental awareness and
sustainable use of natural resources.
To date, the program is improving the quality of education
for more than 5,500 school children and over 300 school teachers in
Iquitos City, in rural villages along the Río Itaya,
in Puerto Maldonado and in rural villages along the Río
Madre de Dios.
The program has expanded to communities in the Río Ucayali
Río Pisqui and Río Caco regions.
These programs provide a forum of sharing information and empower new
visions and choices for a sustainable future.
